Pompeo Della Posta (PhD, MA) is Associate professor of Political Economy at the University of Pisa (Italy). His main research interests are relative to International Monetary Economics, Macroeconomics, Economics of Globalization, Euro and European Economic and Monetary Integration, Vaccinal Choices and, more recently, Energy Policy.

He has published extensively in many international journals like Journal of Macroeconomics, Dynamic Macroeconomics, Journal of Policy Modeling, North American Journal of Economics and Finance, Open Economies Review, Global Economy Journal, Vaccine, has written books on The Economics of Globalization and on European Monetary Integration, and edited many volumes, including some published by Palgrave Macmillan.

He is the President-elect for 2019 of the International Trade and Finance Association and the Director of the scientific journal Scienza e Pace / Science and Peace.

He has given many seminars worldwide and has visited Universities and Research Centers including George Washington University (Washington, DC, USA), CIRANO center (Montreal, Canada), Yokohama National University (Japan), Delhi School of Economics (New Delhi, India), Saint Petersburg State University (Saint Petersburg, Russia).

He has been for several years Adjoint professor at the Johns Hopkins University SAIS Bologna Center (Italy) and External professor at the Stanford University - The Breyer Center for Overseas Studies in Florence, Bing Overseas Studies Program. For many years he has been teaching Economics courses at both the Master and Undergraduate level at the Beijing Normal University (Beijing, China) and for two years at the University of Victoria (Victoria, BC, Canada).
